VDE Quality Tested - Power Plants
VDE Quality Tested for Power Plants is an extensive test program developed together by VDE and Fraunhofer ISE leading to certification of entire power plants. This can be done either for new power plants or for existing plants. In new plants the program includes verification of the design, the components used (modules, inverters, etc.), the installation and the power production after installation. The goal is to provide assurance that the power plant was well designed and built and thus reduce the risk of poor performance. Financiers and banks will typically provide lower finance costs for VDE certified power plants. CFV will provide testing on PV modules before installation and sample testing of modules sent to the construction site. Additional yield studies can be carried out beforehand at the CFV Albuquerque site.
